A regulatory body is responsible for protecting
the public through setting standards for initial entry onto
their respective professional registers and by producing and
monitoring 'continuing fitness-to-practise' standards.
These standards reflect the minimum standards expected of
a professional and are based on their fitness-to-practise
standards.
